Milestone 1 of 52 · Founding, Survival & Early Growth
Following the decline of the Town & Country Sports Club, Marquette found itself without a golf course. Former members, led by J.C. Gannon and other local leaders, began meeting to discuss bringing the game back to the community. Several potential locations were evaluated, including property near the Club's present-day home. What began as conversation would eventually become one of the most significant community projects in Marquette's history.
